    Hello,

I’m unable to change the accent colour from Theme Options of Minimal Theme. I’ve read through the forums and it seems there might be an update to the theme? If not, please let me know if you’re aware of the issue and how to fix.

    Many thanks,

    Khaled

    Hello Khaled,

Can you post your url so I can take a look?

NOTE: The update is not for my theme so make sure that you DO NOT update the theme.

    Cheers!

    Hey,

I’ve checked your site and it seems that the file named “custom-styles.css” located in the theme’s folder > framework > css doesn’t have writing permissions. Try to change the permissions to 755 or 777 and save the color again to see if it worked.

    Let me know how’s going.

    Cheers!

    Hi Chris,

Unfortunately, this client has a Managed WordPress hosting with GoDaddy, so there’s no access to any of those folders as there’s no cPanel/File Manager.

The odd thing is that a colour change has happened a couple of days after I chose it in the theme panel’s style settings, but it’s not reliable.

Is there a workaround you can suggest, perhaps css code based? All custom css instructions I put into the box are working perfectly, so that will definitely work.

    Please advise.

    Many thanks,

    Khaled

    Hi Khaled,

Are you sure you don’t have FTP access to change the file permissions? I used to have shared hosting and GoDaddy and FTP access is a very basic feature.

    Cheers!

    Hi Chris,

I spoke with them on the phone and they don’t allow the modifications mentioned in your first message – it’s a Managed WordPress account, not Shared. It has next to zero access to anything!

So not possible to add anything in the Custom CSS box?

    Many thanks,

    Khaled

    Hey Khaled,

Bummer, I understand now. Well, I’ve noticed that the purple color is in the “Custom CSS” box. Pasting code in the box will still work.

    Let me know how’s going.

    Cheers!

Thanks Chris – please could you give me the code that will work for custom color?

    Many thanks,

    Khaled

    Hey,

Try editing the file named “custom-styles.php” and you’ll find there all the classes/ids of the custom css colors. Simply paste them in the custom css box (removing the php code) and you’re good to go.

    Cheers!
