    As the title says, when I try to activate the “Easy Digital Downloads” plugin, the page reloads and I see a 500 error. When I deactivate the plugin (in FTP) the site goes back to working correctly. The plugin version is 2.6.6 and I’m using WordPress 4.5.3

    That’s a little bit too low for the theme and EDD itself. Try assigning 256M and see how’s going.

    I adjusted the memory limit to 256M and I’m still receiving the 500 error.

    The change was made last week, but the php-fpm process had to be reloaded/restarted for the change to take effect. I restarted this process and it is working now.
