You’ll need to make a couple of changes in the files.

You’ll need to edit the file named “content.php” located in the theme’s folder > framework > inc > post-formats.

On line 52, replace this:

<?php the_content(__( 'Read More', 'sd-framework' )); ?>

With this:

<a class="more-link" rel="nofollow" href="<?php the_permalink() ?>#more-<?php the_ID(); ?>"><?php _e('Read More', 'framework') ?></a>

Now, edit the file named “functions.php” and add this to the file:

// Excerpt limit
function sd_excerpt_length($length) {
    return 20;
}
add_filter('excerpt_length', 'sd_excerpt_length');

20 is the number of words displayed. Change it according to your needs.
