    Hi All,
    Has anyone used any EDD plugins for online card-payment other than PayPal? Or more simply, has anyone implemented anything to accept card Payment/Donation online than PayPal? If you have then kindly share your knowledge on how have you done it. Thank you a million!

    Hi there,

    Users of the theme have used EDD extensions for different payment gateways. The official extensions are a little bit expensive but I think you can find third party ones that are free or cheaper (for example on CodeCanyon).

    If we have PayPal Express then do we still need an extension? This is your theme and we need you to give us a solution. We want to give our customers card option to donate so could you kindly just recommend one? Many thanks.

    Almost anything that works on Easy Digital Downloads will work for the theme because the donation system is built on top of it.

    I can’t recommend you something specific because I don’t know your needs. Every client worked with a different payment gateway. Some preferred Stripe some plain PayPal for example so the best thing to do is to test and see what suits your needs best.

    We are currently using Paypal standard to take donation payment. We want to give our customers card option as well. Unfortunately we can not try what is available on EDD as the plugins are not free and I am sure you are aware. Since we are using Paypal standard, do you think having Paypal Express Plugin would solve the problem? If we have PayPal Express Plugin then do we have to have our PayPal upgraded to PayPal express too? I hope you understand what the “need” is here.. we simply want to give our customers a card option to donate.. we want to keep paypal standard but just want an additional option, which will be a card/alternative option for donation.

    From what I know PP accounts are 2 types: personal and business so I think PP express has nothing to do with the account type.

    There are a few free extensions out there but you need to make a little bit more research. Here’s one that I’ve found: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pal-for-edd/
