Hi, I would like to change the colors of the theme to match my client’s brand/colors. What is the best way to modify the header background color and the color of the icons, text boxes and buttons?
thanks,
MatMay 5, 2017 at 10:53 pm #14677Hi there,
Some sections can be changed from the theme options page > Styling and some directly on the page you’re editing via Visual Composer.
For example, the header can be changed from the theme options page while icons or text boxes can be changed via the Visual Composer.
Cheers!
ChrisMay 6, 2017 at 2:30 am #14688thanks Chris,
I checked the Options page > Styling and found the presets for the header, menu bar, menu text, but when I make changes, I don’t see the new colors reflected on the theme. Do I need to do something after the style changes are applied?
May 7, 2017 at 4:47 pm #14698Make sure that the “custom-styles.css” file located in the theme’s folder > framework > admin > admin-options has writing permissions. Try setting it 755 or 777.
Cheers!
February 15, 2018 at 5:37 pm #16387I’m encountering the same problem as well. I’ve changed the “custom-styles.css” file’s permission to 777, but when I make color changes, it takes awhile (seems like hours) before it’s reflected on the theme.
Also, I sent you a couple of support emails around two days ago regarding other theme issues that I’ve encountered and I’ve yet to receive a response.

If your changes take effect but with a delay it seems you’re using a caching plugin. Make sure you disable it while making changes to the theme. Or purge the cache and clear your browser’s cache and refresh the page after each change.
Cheers!
ChrisFebruary 26, 2018 at 7:55 am #16421Is there a way to change the color of the phone #, phone # text/CTA, page links, page link hover color, and quote button in the header, without having to use the “theme main color” option under the “styling” section?
February 27, 2018 at 2:30 am #16423I’m afraid that if you want to target specific items only on mobile devices you’ll need to use some custom CSS in the theme options page > Styling > Custom CSS box.
Cheers!
February 27, 2018 at 3:32 am #16425I’m talking about in general, not just mobile devices. Your theme gives users the ability to change the color of the page link, hover link, button color etc. in the footer, and copyright footer, but it doesn’t appear to do so in the header, without using the “theme main color” option.
The problem with that, is that I want the color of my page links, hover page links, and quote button in the header, to be a different color than that of the “main theme color.
February 27, 2018 at 10:23 pm #16426Is there a way to change the color of the “Call to action” , links, hover links, and the quote button in the header, without having to use the “theme main color” option under the “styling” section?
I want them to be a different color than that of the theme’s main color.
Also, I would like to change the shape of all the buttons from oval to a rectangular shape. I figured out how to do it in the “products” section, but can’t figure out how to do it for the buttons in the header and footer.
Here’s my website: http://www.burialinsurquote.com
February 27, 2018 at 11:41 pm #16427For the quote button you need to add some custom css but for the menu you can easily change the colors in your dashboard > mega menu > menu themes and select the theme your menu is using.
Cheers!
February 28, 2018 at 7:39 am #16428Can you provide me with the custom css to adjust the buttons on the homepage’s header and footer areas as well as the blog section, and contact form?
I would like to change the color, remove the shadow, and change the shape from oval to rectangular site wide.

March 3, 2018 at 12:31 am #16433Hi there and sorry for the delay,
Past this in the Custom CSS box in the theme options page > Styling:
.sd-free-quote, .sd-quote-form .wpcf7-submit, .sd-more, .comment-reply-link, .sd-submit-comments, .sd-staff-form-submit .wpcf7-submit, .post-password-form input[type="submit"] { border-radius: 0; box-shadow: 0; background-color: #ff8c00; } .sd-more:hover, .comment-reply-link:hover, .sd-submit-comments:hover, .sd-staff-form-submit .wpcf7-submit:hover, .post-password-form input[type="submit"]:hover, .sd-free-quote:hover, .sd-quote-form .wpcf7-submit:hover { box-shadow: 0; background-color: #ff8c00; }

March 26, 2018 at 5:04 pm #16510Hello, I was able to change the color of the buttons using the custom CSS code that you provided but not the shape.
I would like to be able to change the shape of all the buttons (sitewide) to a rectangle like I have here on my homepage in the ( http://www.burialinsurquote.com ) “Products” section.
Also, there are a few more issues that I have that I need help with:
1) I tried updating the “WPBakery Page Builder” (VC) and the “Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer” plugins per your directions, but they’re not updating to the latest versions.
2) How do you change the color of the “Header Phone Text” and the “Header Phone Number”?
3) I asked about this earlier, but never got a response; I would like to know how to create a landing page for (PPC advertising) without the “homepage” button links in the header and the wigetized footer section.
In other words, I want the header to only include the logo, quote button, and “Header Phone Text” & “Header Phone Number”.
And I want to eliminate the widget footer section above the “copyright footer” (I want to keep the copyright text and the footer links).
