    Hello Chris,

    I was working on my website and was trying to change the color of the donate button (list item)
    using custom css but I did not see the changes reflected.

    I used the google chrome developer tools to target the id, used the property “color” and the value “red” so it looked like:

    #mega-menu-item-690 {
    color:red;
    }

    I also used the background value but did not notice a change. I suspect that either it may not be possible to change or I may not be doing it correctly.

    If it is the latter, I would definitely like to increase my knowledge on how to do so correctly.

    Hi,

    Sorry, my mistake. I thought you wanted to change the “Donate” menu button.

    The home item is the current page highlighted color. For example if you click on “Blog” you’ll see that on the blog page the “blog” menu will be highlighted to that color. The highlight color is the hover color of the menu items. If you want to disable it you can do so in your dashboard > Mega Menu > Menu Themes and uncheck “Highlight Current Item”.

    What I’m looking to do is:

    to change the donate menu button to green.
    to change the highlighted color to become another color.

    The code above, for the donate menu button, did not work when I entered it into the custom css.

    That’s weird. I just tried the above code and it’s working on developer mode.

    1. Can you post the test username again so I can take a closer look?

    2. That color can be changed from the location I’ve posted above. You change the hovering color and the highlight color will be changed too.

    Fixed it. The problem was that you forgot the !important attribute and second problem was that when you’ve pasted the code in the editor theses signs “>” have been changed to “&gt” (I think due to different format of your editor).
