    I have just completed the install and discovered this problem. When the window is small enough for the collapsed menu to display, clicking on the menu toggle has no effect when using Chrome on the desktop/laptop. Firefox works fine. Chrome on mobile works fine. My site:

    I can’t recreate the problem on the Max Mega Menu demo site, as everything works fine there.

    My laptop screen is touch-enabled and I observe the mobile/collapsed menu toggle works in Chrome via touch, it is just the click action that does not work. And once the mobile/slideover menu is open, click actions work fine, including closing the menu. It’s just the open action that doesn’t respond to click action.

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately I don’t have a touch enabled Windows device and I cannot properly test. I’ve tested on the iPad, iPhone and an Android phone and I can’t replicate the problem on these devices.

    Right, it works fine on all those devices. It is only on a desktop/laptop that the collapsed menu toggle doesn’t work in Chrome when clicked. It may not be common for desktop/laptop users to have their windows at the appropriate size for the mobile/collapsed menu to display but it is not entirely out of the question.

    I still think we aren’t understanding one another. A Surfacebook in “laptop” mode might be able to recreate the problem but it isn’t restricted to Windows. The problem exists on Linux & Mac OSX too. Any non-touch computer using the Chrome browser is unable to open the mobile/collapsed menu. Every mobile device I’ve tested works fine. This isn’t about tablets or phones but laptops & desktops.

    Oh, I understand now. I thought the problem was only on touch enabled devices with Win. But the thing is I also tested on Chrome on Win and it’s working fine on my side. Did you test on another machine to see if it’s the same result?

    Linux-only household here! However, I observe the problem does not exist for the menu style at http://helpinghands1.skat.tf/ so I think I’ll just switch to that style. The problem I’m avoiding may be something that no actual users ever encounter but I like the helpinghands1 demo style and it will help avoid any possible support problems (for me) from the client side.

    I’ve had the same problem with other mobile menus (and I’ve avoided Max Mega Menu on projects of my own for this reason) so it must be something to do with a common upstream library. My go-to is Hero Menu as it stands up to all of the weird edge cases I’ve thrown at it.

    I think that you need to double tap/click on the mega menu for it to open in Chrome.

    It didn’t work for me.

    I understand you have your own reasons for continuing to look into it but, just so you know, I have moved on using another menu and it isn’t an issue for me.
