    Admittedly I’m a rookie on finding a few things:
    1)I want the header background to be #cc0000. I view source, close with the x and it appears the change occurred, but it does not stay if I refresh the screen.
    2)At the bottom of the welcome page there is a gray background frame around the testimonial placeholders. This too should be #cc0000
    3)Also, I would like the logo place holder in the header on the welcome page to be bigger so the logo is more readable.

    Hi there,

    Go to the theme options page > Styling and paste this in the “Custom CSS” box:

    #header {
background-color: #cc0000;
}

.framed_box {
background-color: #cc0000;
}

    Note: if you have more custom styling simply paste it in the same “Custom CSS” box.

    For the logo, did you try to upload a larger one?
