    I don’t have a mailchimp sign up form to set up news letter subscription. Can I use a contact form in place? I tried putting the contact form short code and it didnt work.

    Please help.

    There is a workaround and it’s not so complex.

    Here’s what to do:

    Go to the theme’s folder > framework > inc and edit the file named “newsletter.php”. Now, remove everything from line 23 to 33. Then, edit line 35 and replace “col-md-8” with “col-md-12”. Next, at line 36 replace this:

    <?php echo $newsletter_code; ?>

    with this:

    <?php echo do_shortcode( $newsletter_code ); ?>

    Now, you can insert the contact form shortcode.
