How do I create custom donate link? I dont want to use the check out page as the payment gateway we use is not supported. From donate pages, instead of taking to check out, it should take to a external page?

Is this possible?

Also is there a way to use the donation bar with custom amount? i.e I have a script which will parse the google spreadsheet and gives the current total amount. how do I add a donation bar on the home page with custom goal and amount raised ?

Hi there,

1. I’m afraid this is not possible right out of the box. Though, if you’re comfortable making some changes in the theme files (editing some code) I can give you instructions on how to put custom links to your campaigns.

Have you checked EDD’s additional gateways: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/category/extensions/gateways/

2. I’m afraid this is not possible.

Hey,

I’ve modified the files for you. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Go to the theme’s folder and replace the file named “single-download.php” with the one inside the attached archive.

2. Go to the theme’s folder > framework > inc > metabox and replace the file named “the-meta-boxes.php” with the one inside the attached archive.

3. Go to the theme’s folder > framework > inc > vc > shortcodes and copy all the files from the attached archive except “the-meta-boxes.php” and “single-download.php”.

Now, when you create your campaign you’ll have an option on the right side of the editor named “Custom Button Url”

Let me know how’s going.

I’m sorry but the bar is pulled from the campaigns database. Pulling data from Google spreadsheet will require way more additional coding and more advanced coding skills (and of course more time).

If you just want to show the bar on the homepage you can use the single featured campaign section:

You can manually add purchases by setting the payment gateway to test, make a payment and then set it back to your desired gateway.

Sorry to ask the same question again. I do have the script to parse the Google Spreadsheet and get the amount and replace a div with given “ID”. I just need to use the same styles to show the progress bar.

Any suggestions please.

I tried creating a temporary campaign and added it to the home page as single featured campaign. Even though I selected the style as bar, its showing as circle. What am I doing wrong?

Okay I tried to use the same classes as in the theme’s donation bar. My problem now is for getting the value from google spreadsheet, I need JQUERY. If I include jquery-min as a Raw JS then its having issue with the slider.

May be some jquery and revolution conflict? I am almost there and please help.

Actually jquery is already called in the theme so you don’t need to call it again. Just enqueue your script.
