1. Did you try to refresh the theme options page? As long as the file is writable the error shouldn’t appear anymore.

2. Yes, you need to set permissions for that file in the child’s folder too.

I think there’s a problem related to your WordPress server. Can you try this and let me know if it fixes the problem?

So, here’s what you need to do:

Go to the theme’s folder > admin > functions and edit the file named “functions.admin.php”.

Just at the end of the file (from line 150 ro 174) replace this:

function generate_options_css($newdata) {
 
/** Define some vars **/
	$sd_data = $newdata;
	$uploads = wp_upload_dir();
	$css_dir = get_template_directory() . '/framework/css/'; // Shorten code, save 1 call
	
	/** Save on different directory if on multisite **/
