    Go to its menu location in your WP dashboard, hit “Import Slider” and upload the file you’ve downloaded.

    Note that it is possible that the images of the slider won’t be imported (due to some WP settings that differ from user to user) so, if this is the case, you’ll have to save them one by one from the demo page. All the settings of the slider will be imported though.

    Chris:

    1: Rev Slider Plugin uploaded.
    2: I create new slider and name it: minimal_homeslide
    3: I go to slider import/export tool and choose: import
    4: I “choose file” – minimal_homeslide.zip
    5: I click “import”
    6: I get this error message:
    importing slider setings and data…
    Error: Wrong export slider file format!

    What am I missing here?

    Changed settings and – part of the issue was I was uploading the zip folder: minimal_homeslide.zip THAT DOES NOT WORK.

    THIS WORKS!!!
    I unzipped the folder and uploaded the .txt file only: minimal_homeslider.txt and presto!

    Hope this is helpful to others.

    Thanks for the help Chris… we are now up and running!
