    HI
    I have other forms of payment methods that i will wish to use for my website but how can i configure the gateway to be used by my clients through the Donation checkout. the Payment gateway has an option of Plugin and API but i want the API because its more of advantage than the plugin.

    You need to search if Easy Digital Downloads has an extension for your gateway. This is their official extensions site but you can also find additional EDD extensions in other places like Github for example: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/category/extensions/gateways/

    If you can develop your own extension for your payment gatewat you can definitely use an api.
