    I hope you enjoyed your holidays!

    I have two questions about the Latest News section that we can put on the homepage:

    1) How can I increase the number of characters/words that are shown in the homepage before the button “Continue reading”?

    2) Currently, all hyperlinks in articles are turned into plain text when showing up on Latest News. How can I prevent this?

    Hi there and sorry for the delay. I was out of office for the last 3 weeks for the summer holiday.

    1. You can set your custom excerpt in each article. Or you can edit the file named “sd-functions.php” located in the theme’s folder > framework > inc > sd-theme-functions and on line 189 change the 50 to your deisred number of characters.

    2. This is how the WordPress excerpt function is working. You’ll have to add a custom function in order to do this.
