    Hey there,

    I’m having a problem where when we create a page and apply the “Page: Events” template, it is not showing any events, even though we have at least one that is published and occurring in the future. In addition to that not working, I can’t get the “Latest Events” Visual Composer item to work, even though we can get “Latest Blog/Event” and “Event Countdown” to work without an issue.

    Are your events in the future? Because I’ve just set up a demo event on Dec 1 and it is being displayed on the events page.

    Okay, the problem is that if you do not use the date selector and just type in the date in the box, the date on the event will revert after you save it.

    So now that we have that figured out, is there any way to display some content if there are no events set for the future (something like “No Upcoming Events”). It’s quite weird to just have an entirely blank block on the event page, or even more worrisome, a blank section on the home page when using the Latest Events visual composer item. Really just anything that retains vertical height and fills up space would make this a lot more practical.

    I’m sorry but it is not possible right out of the box but if you can set the test username as admin I can write a quick function so there will be something displayed there.

    As for the homepage if you use the blog/events section the old events will be displayed instead.

    I’ve made a small edit to the “events.php” file. I’ve set all your events as drafts so you can see how’s working when there are no events published.

    If you want you can edit the file and customize it yourself. The modified line is 85.

    Great! Any way we can do something similar for the “Latest Events” VC element? It just shows nothing if there are no future events (currently using the “Latest Blog/Events” to circumvent this behavior.
