    Hey there!

    I’m hoping that you can help me understand what is going on with the menus in this theme.

    I have opted for the main menu (not the top bar menu). I have filled out a Mega Menu theme and applied it to this menu. The menu looks great on desktop, but as soon as the menu is resized down, I see a lot of very strange behavior.

    Attached Pictures:
    1. Full Menu
    2. Menu when the window is resized down around tablet size.
    3. Menu when the window is resized down around phone size.
    4. Menu around phone size when I check the box in the Mega Menu options called “Disable Mobile Toggle”.

    It seems like there are two different versions of mobile menus fighting each other here. I think that I read in another thread that the main menu uses a “responsive menu” that is coded into the theme, and NOT the Mega Menu Mobile Menu; this seems to make sense because the menu button is always there and I cannot turn it off, even when I delete it in the Mega Menu theme. But when I have the “Disable Mobile Toggle” option selected, the phone size shows the menu but pressing the “Menu” button still reveals a slide out menu from the left.

    I need a way to disable either the Mega Menu or the Responsive Menu (if that is what is happening here). I don’t particularly like the slide out menu very much, and would prefer to have the links as they show in screenshot #4, but they toggle visibility when the menu button is pressed.

    I think the first step here is to understand the menu paradigm, and why these menus are behaving in this way.

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the confusion but indeed there are 2 mobile menus in the theme that can be controlled from 2 different panels.

    1. The top bar menu will make use of the mega menu mobile and it can be changed from the mega menu settings page.

    2. The main header menu belongs to the theme and can be controlled through the theme options page > Styling.

    Hey Chris,

    If that is the case, how come the Mega Menu mobile menu will show up in my Main Menu area when I enable the “Disable Mobile Toggle” option in Mega Menu? Are you saying that I could completely change the Mega Menu theme that is applied to the Main Menu bar, and nothing about the appearance would change? Or does the theme use the Mega Menu theme for desktop breakpoints and use the built in settings for the mobile responsive menu?

    Is there no way to mix and match?

    And outside of that confusion, do you have ANY idea as to why there is that extra space above the menu button in my third attachment on my first post when the viewport is around tablet size? I cannot find what causes it in Inspect Element, and have no idea where this comes from. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Can you post your url so I can take a look?

    Only the top bar menu makes use of the mega menu on mobile. So if you use the top bar one you can change the settings in the mega menu dashboard. Otherwise the other menu will be used.

    Hi there and sorry for the delay but we were out of office during the winter holidays.

    I’ve checked your site and it seems that for some both of the menus are loading.

    Can you post a test username and pwd. on your site so I can take a closer look on why is this happening?

    Looks like the double-menu issue is no longer happening, but the weird extra space in the menu bar still occurs when the viewport is between desktop and mobile (see the second attachment of the original post).
