    Hey there!

    Just had a few questions for you:

    1. I know that Staff sort order is by publish date, but that is not going to be intuitive for my client. Is there a way that I can amend the code in sd-staff.php to follow the order of the IDs as they are written in the box in visual composer (e.g. NOT in ASC order of ID)?

    2. I saw elsewhere where you should set a Google API key in “dashboard > Ultimate > Google Maps” to make the maps for events/contact page work; but there is no “Google Maps” option for me under the Ultimate menu on the sidebar, nor any other place to specify this. In order to fix it on my own, I had to install the additional plugin “API KEY for Google Maps” to set it. Has the setting moved? I’d prefer to have this solved without the need of an additional plugin.

    1. Do you want to change the order of the default staff page or on the shortcode page?

    2. What version of Ultimate plugin do you have installed? The “API KEY for Google Maps” will work without any problems too.

    1. I’m not sure the difference. When I create a staff section on the website using Visual Composer, it asks for the staff IDs that I’d like to include. I know that it automatically orders them using the post date, but that is not intuitive enough for my client (and is frankly, an inconvenience). I’m wondering if there is any way I can have the Visual Composer entity order the staff in the same order as the IDs are ordered in the “Item IDs” box (see attachment).

    2. 3.16.5 – If possible, I’d prefer to set it in the existing settings than having to have another plugin installed.

    1. You can try this:

    In the theme’s folder > framework > inc > vc > shortcodes edit the file named “sd-staff.php” and on line 44 you’ll see this:

    'post__in' => $ids,

    Just below add this:

    ‘orderby’=>’post__in’,

    Awesome, for #1 I have two questions:

    1.1. I’d rather not edit the parent theme files so I can easily update as you guys push theme updates. How can I make this change within the child theme?

    1.2. Will this order the staff members by ID (ASC) or order them by the order in which the IDs were entered into the items ID box? For example, if I type in “3, 4, 2, 1”, will the staff be ordered as “1, 2, 3, 4” or “3, 4, 2, 1”?

    HI,

    First of all, i cannot find button to create a new forum question, i only see this option to respond in a treat…

    My problem is that the menu are not displayed as expected. see the test website with a clean install and demo content uplaod: mhk.nok-it.nl

    The menu in the top bar is displaying in a list..
    when i add a custom menu to the footer, this is also displayed in row items…

    Hey,

    I’m afraid that the VC parts cannot be overridden by a child theme so you’re stuck with modifying the parent theme.

    I think the default is ASC but by adding this you can alter that too:

    'order' => 'ASC',

    You can change to DESC if needed.
