    I see that my only choices for the number of footer sidebars is 3 or four. I would like to have a single footer sidebar that extends the width of my site. Is this possible

    Well, you can edit the file named “3-sidebars-footer.php” located in the theme’s folder > framework > inc and replace this:

    <div class="col-md-4 col-sm-4 sd-footer-sidebar-1">
    <?php dynamic_sidebar( 'footer-sidebar-one' ); ?>
</div>

<div class="col-md-4 col-sm-4 sd-footer-sidebar-2">
    <?php dynamic_sidebar( 'footer-sidebar-two' ); ?>
</div>

<div class="col-md-4 col-sm-4 sd-footer-sidebar-3-last">
    <?php dynamic_sidebar( 'footer-sidebar-three' ); ?>
</div>

    with this:

    <div class="col-md-12 col-sm-12 sd-footer-sidebar-1">
    <?php dynamic_sidebar( 'footer-sidebar-one' ); ?>
</div>

    Make sure you select 3 sidebars in the theme options page.
