    Hi,

    I installed the theme and I’m getting an error with PHP 7.1 on the home page:

    ( ! ) Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘new’ (T_NEW) in /wp-content/themes/getfit/framework/inc/page-top.php on line 71

    Also, the Ajax calendar is no longer available. Can you provide a copy of the plugin or recommend a compatible replacement, please?

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

    I’m afraid the theme is not compatible with php 7. You can get the plugin from here: https://skat.tf/go/ajax-event-calendar/

    Cheers!

    Hi Chris,

    Is there any plan to update the theme compatibility? My client’s is using a shared server and they only have PHP 7 so the theme is going to be useless otherwise. 🙁

    Can you give me a test username & pwd. on your site so I can take a look? Make sure you use the private reply function of the forum.

    Cheers!

    Can you enable WP DEBUG so I can check what is triggering the problems?

    Cheers!

    All set!

    #14544

    Please disable WP DEBUG for now and let me know.

    Thanks, Chris! Sorry for the delay in responding but I never received the email notification saying you replied.

    It looks like it’s loading as expected now. Appreciate the support!

    Thanks again!

    Hi there and sorry for the delay but we were out of office for the weekend and the 1 May holiday.

    It seems that the problem is from the WordPress auto formatting feature. Check your content in the TEXT mode of the editor and make sure there are no “not needed” blank rows and paragraphs or breaks.

    As a last resort you can disable the feature altogether by adding this to the functions file:

    remove_filter( 'the_content', 'wpautop' );
    remove_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'wpautop' );

    Cheers!

    Hey Chris,

    I forgot to respond to the thread to let you know that the adding the two snippets to functions file worked.

    Thanks for your help!

    Best regards,
    Greg

    Actually, I was wrong. I didn’t catch it but it appears to have broken all the other line breaks. 🙁

    Can you post a test username & pwd. so I can take a look?
