    Hello,

    We would like to know how could we configure the search box so that different categories follow a specific hieriarchy. The thing is our website will include different courses from different universities, so the question is, would it be possible that if a user selects “Harvard University’ on the university search box, only Harvard courses appeared on the course search box below.

    Hi there,

    The search form is based on keywords only. If someone selects the “Harvard University” category and inserts the keywords it will only return results from this category.

    I have understood but I’m looking for a different thing. I would want to change the code according to this objective: if I select “University X” I would want that form shows only subjects from “University X” and if I select “University Y” I would want that form shows only subjects from “University Y”. I should say that I have hierarchical categories like “University->Degree->Subjects”.

    Right now I’m looking at “searchform.php” but I don’t understand how to change to achieve my objective.

    It is possible?

    Edit the file named “searchform.php” and remove this from line 30:

    Save. Done.

    Now, your form will return only posts from the selected categories.
