I’m trying to do the same thing. On the themeforest help section you emailed some code to a member, can you post that code here? I’m trying to display certain blog posts by category on separate pages. I’m fine editing the php code, just let me know where to add/edit and what to put there.

I’ve attached the required files. You’ll need to replace the file named “flexslider.js” from the theme’s folder > framework > js with the one inside the archive and the file named “shortcodes.php” from the theme’s folder > framework > inc.

Now insert your shortcodes like this example:

What I’m trying to do is have each separate category display under the corresponding section. We have student stories, parent stories, faculty stories and alumni stories. I want only the alumni stories to display in that section. I’m using the shortcode [blog id=”FLA Stories” cats=”alumni-stories”] with alumni-stories being the slug. But it’s displaying all the categories on every page.

Yes, that’s because you need to insert the category id not the category slug or name. The id is only in numerical form eg. 1, 4

When you go to the categories section in your WP dashboard and hover over one cat you can see the ID of the cat.

Just like in the image on this article, except you need to look for tag_ID not the one in the image:
