    ok. I got into that file and changed permissions to your request and nothing happened. Everything was working before. The only thing I did was update the theme. When I go back to the old theme it works fine again. Need this figured out if you can please.

    It’s obviously that something has changed but we need to figure out what.

    How did you make the update to the latest version of the theme? Also, did you change the theme folder’s name for the new version? Backup the old version of the theme and after that delete it from the server. Then simply upload and install the latest version like it’s the first time. Don’t worry no content will be lost.

    in the FTP the theme says Helpinghands-2 . Would that be causing any issues?

    How are you uploading the theme. Did you do it like with the first version? Usually there are two reasons of why the file is not writable:

    1. The file doesn’t have writing permissions and WordPress cannot write in it.

    2. The owner of the file is now the WordPress username hence it is not able to write in it.

    So, if you said that you’ve managed to set the correct permissions to the file you need to check now to see if the WordPress username (usually it is named Apache) is the owner of the theme and specifically of the styling file.

    ok. I uploaded it the same. Right inside wordpress. How am I able to check if the owner of the file is now WordPress username? And why would this be?

    Try to rename the folder to just helpinghands and see how it goes.

    Sometimes the WP username doesn’t have the same rights as the FTP username and a conflict appears.

    ok. I renamed it. I also see there is another helpinghands-test in there. Is that active? Or did my fix do it?

    The other folder is a theme version that I uploaded to make some tests. Did you manage to make it work or you’re still having problems?
