New events not showing with correct date

Hello, I’ve been trying to get an answer on this but still nothing, and I have a very close deadline to meet!
Like another poster, my events are not showing up correctly and it only seems to work with SOME dates, other not. For example, anything in the years 2000, 2001 shows but then 2002-2005 etc doesn’t, for example. Tried doing date and time and still nothing. It just seems like a random behavior!

I have an events page, like the demo, and its using the “Page:Events” template.
I also have the events listed on the homepage using VCs “Latest Blog/Events” snippet.

Both don’t display correctly.
I got them to display my events but the dates have to be incorrect for them to show up on both cases.

Using the child theme and most recent version of theme.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

The thing is that on the main events page the theme is designed to only display upcoming events. If you want to display past and future events the only way is by using the Visual Composer blog/events section.

I’m afraid that outside of the box this is not possible. If you’re comfortable with modifying some php files I can tell you what to change. Or you can post a test FTP username & pwd. and I can do it for you.

Edit the file named “events.php” from the theme’s folder and remove the code from line 37 to 40, this:

It seems to be working now and I’ve managed to apply the same principle on the widget file with success!
Can you tell me if I can just copy the widget file to my child theme directory so that I can keep the the original theme files untouched, like you can do with certain files in the child theme?

Sorry but the widgets are required to be called in another way and cannot be overridden by the child theme directly.
