    It looks like prettyPhoto is built in to work with images by default, but I never remember that working. I never needed it to, but now I do, and I can’t get it to work.

    I’ve tried moving the js file further up the page (just below all the jquery enqueue scripts), commenting out some stuff, etc, but nothing.

    I noticed I get an “Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token } custom.js:90″ error in console – not sure if that might have something to do with it – but removing that, playing with it, etc, didn’t fix it either.

    I tried manually adding rel=”prettyPhoto”, etc, too.

    Here’s the staging URL where I’ve got just a simple image at the top that i’m trying to get to work.

    Hi there,

    You mustn’t change the order of the custom.js file. Try reverting it back and then simply add rel=”prettyPhoto” or rel=”lightbox” to your images.

    If it still doesn’t work let me know so I can take a look. But make sure that the custom.js file is in it’s default position, unchanged.

    Also, you can use the following shortcode:

    [lightbox src="your-large-image-url" caption="caption text here"]<img src="your-smaller-image-here" />[/lightbox]

    I reverted everything after making any changes that didn’t work, and I hadn’t modified custom.js originally.

    I tried adding ‘rel=”prettyPhoto”‘ and ‘rel=”lightbox”‘ and it didn’t work. By default (see link), there’s a ‘rel=”prettyPhoto[postID]”‘ tag on the image, which is dictated in the theme code… sooo not sure.

    I’ll try the shortcode, but the end goal is to get something working within rev slider, which I don’t believe a shortcode would work in there, would it?

    Hey,

    That’s weird. Did you alter in any way the “custom.js” file? If not, try just to replace the one on your host with a new version from the theme.

    Fortunately, you can use any shortcode or html markup in the slider’s layers, so it is possible to open images in prettyphoto/lightbox from the slider.

    I didn’t modify custom.js, but the file in the latest version of the theme (a newer version than the one the site is running) fixes it!

    Very cool.

    Are there any issues with me ONLY replacing custom.js, or should I update the entire theme? What might break if I do that?

    I don’t think there should be new issues. Though, if you didn’t make any changes to the theme files you can update it all.

    Also, are you aware of the revslider security issue? What version of the slider do you have?
