    I have translated the en_EN.po file into Finnish (the most important parts of it), compiled a fi_FI.mo file and moved it to /framework/lang folder. I have added the following line to wp.config.php: ‘define (‘WPLANG’, ‘fi_FI’);’.

    My translations do not show up. Could you guys tell me what did I do wrong?

    Hi,

    You need to have a fi_FI.po file. You can simply copy & paste the en file “en_US.po” and “en_US.mo” and rename them both to “fi_FI.po” and “fi_FI.mo” and then edit the .po file and translate your strings.

    I’ve tried to login but I always get this error:

    Authorization Required

    This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn’t understand how to supply the credentials required.

    Additionally, a 401 Authorization Required error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Both SFTP and FTP worked with these credentials. There must be a network / firewall problem if you cannot connect with these credentials.

    Managed to fix it. It seems that the Suomi WP Locale’s file name is not fi_FI but simply fi
