Did you also update the theme?
Cheers!
ChrisOctober 11, 2017 at 7:51 pm #15755Hello Chris,
I purchased a Visual composer license in order to have it always up to date. What shall I do now to make it work with the theme? IS there a way to find a code and insert it or do I have to install the new version of the plugin? Can you please help me?
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Enrico
October 11, 2017 at 10:21 pm #15756I have my demo page on the latest VC and there aren’t any problems with it. You simply delete the old version and install the latest one.
Cheers!
October 12, 2017 at 6:31 pm #15764Hey again Chris,
I did what you told me but unfortunately my theme crashed and I got an error saying:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_set_template_dir() in /web/htdocs/www.circoloverdi.it/home/wp-content/themes/myuniversity/framework/inc/vc/sd-vc-functions.php on line 10
I am using a child theme; could this be the problem? Can you please help me to solve the issue?
Thanks again
Ciao
Enrico
October 16, 2017 at 10:02 pm #15781Hey and sorry for the delay but I’ve missed your reply.
That is happening because you don’t have the latest version of the theme installed.
Here’s what to do:
Download the latest version of the theme and replace the file named “sd-vc-functions.php” from your theme’s folder > framework > inc > vc with the one from the latest version. Then update and activate the latest version of VC.
Cheers!
October 17, 2017 at 12:22 pm #15787Hi again Chris,
isn’t version 1.1.5 the newest one? Is there another version? I’m having issues with this….
Thanks
Enrico
October 17, 2017 at 5:25 pm #15788Hey Enrico,
The latest version should be 1.1.6. Did you make the changes above?
October 17, 2017 at 5:31 pm #15789I only find the 1.1.5 version in my download area :(. Do I do something wrong?
October 17, 2017 at 5:39 pm #15790Weird, until I check it out here’s the file: http://d.pr/f/lNHVVa
October 17, 2017 at 6:16 pm #15791Hmmm, I did what you told me to, and now I have page builder instead of Visual Composer (apparently it is the same thing with a new name)?! Anyway, I can’t seem to modify the page as I was used to, since it only shows a part of the page, the same problem I was having last time I updated WordPress. I attach a screenshot so you can see what’s showing on my back-end. The front end page is corsi
What do you think could be the problem?
Thanks again
Ciao
October 17, 2017 at 6:20 pm #15793Can you give me a ftp test username & pwd. on your site? I’ll fix it for you.
October 17, 2017 at 6:29 pm #15794This reply has been marked as private.October 17, 2017 at 9:46 pm #15795Ok, check it out now and see if it’s ok.
October 18, 2017 at 11:14 am #15796Unfortunately not, I still have the same issue. Now there’s both the backend and the frontend editor (the frontend wasn’t showing before), but I can only modify the first part of the page and nothing else (see the picture attached)…..
By the way, couldn’t you make the theme upgradable from WordPress backend? This would at least show when an update is available…….
Thanks
Enrico
