Ok so fixed everything to help make things responsive BUT due to the size of our main menu items our last item (contact) drops down to the next line. This then shifts things down.

Currently trying to find out there the font size for the menu is or the gap spacing. Are these located in the CSS and easy to change?

Scratch that, added text-size to .main-menu and found 13px made it all fit.

So what seems to be happening is that the
.one-half, .one-third, .two-third, .one-fourth, .three-fourth, .one-fifth, .two-fifth, .three-fifth, .four-fifth, .one-sixth, .five-sixth

Are set to a width of 300px;

Since I am doing the div to have white behind everything, they respond down smaller than 300px

Tried replacing that line in the CSS but it drove the site crazy.

We’ve been able to fix the menu items so that’s no longer a problem.

Now, the issue is that in mobile view, the content on the homepage extends outside of its wrapper. You can see it here: http://discoverpearl.com/test/sta/

All the subpages are completely responsive and fine, just the homepage is having the problem.

What he was explaining here is that in inspect element if you change that width of 300px to 250px in responsive.css under mobile portrait mode it seems to fix the problem, but when we actually made the change and uploaded the changed file, the entire site tried to render in mobile view even on a desktop.
