    Hi, sorry about all the posts, thanks for your help.

    I have a couple questions about the search box.

    First off, is there any way to reorder how the categories show in the drop down? Currently they’re sorted alphabetically, so Pre-K gets sent somewhere in the middle when it should be first. I don’t really think there’s any way to do this, but figured I’d ask.

    Secondly, my search box is only searching one category. Here’s the link: http://discoverpearl.com/test/sta/ Let’s say you choose 5th grade, when you submit it will show the results for 1st grade. I can provide my modified searchform.php file if it will help. However, it stopped working randomly, not in response to any changes I made.

    1. It’s not possible right out of the box.

    2. Did you change the permalink settings? Sometimes it can affect some functionality due to the caching system.

    Permalink settings are default and have never been changes, so that’s not it.
    Could it be anything else?

    Hmm, that’s weird. What changes did you do to the searchform file? Can you make a backup to the current file and revert it to the default one and see what happens?

    I reverted back to the default file and it’s working, so it must’ve been a change I made and didn’t realize the problem immediately. Here’s what my file looks like now if you wouldn’t mind taking a look, Dreamweaver says there’s a syntax error on line 33 but I’m not sure what to change: http://pastebin.com/XrZLZpdr

    Hi,

    Try to put the keyword search field again. It seems the default WordPress search requires it.

    For example:

    <input id="adv_s" class="input input_large" type="text" name="s" value=" <?php the_search_query(); ?>" />

    Insert it like above and then simply hide it using CSS. This way the search will be performed without any keywords and will display just the category selected.

    I did as you suggested and it still wasn’t working, so I searched the forums a bit more and changed if (document.adv_searchform.filterCat[i].selected = true)
    to
    if (document.adv_searchform.filterCat[i].selected == true)
