Hey,

1. The default payment gateway is PayPal. Doesn’t it support your currency? Here is a list of gateways supported by Easy Digital Downloads: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/category/extensions/gateways/

Unfortunately they’re not free. (note that I’m not affiliated in any way with them)

3. I’ve just set the payment gateway to test and the system didn’t ask for credit card. You can set that in the campaign settings.

4. That’s because the donation plugin is built on top of the Easy Digital Downloads plugin which by default sells downloads 🙂

Sorry but it’s not possible to use WooCommerce because it is built totally different than the campaign plugin.

Here’s what you need to do:

In the theme’s folder > framework > inc > sd-theme-functions edit the file named “sd-functions.php” and add this right at the bottom of the file:

// Add Nigerian Naira currency
if ( ! function_exists( 'sd_extra_edd_currencies' ) ) {
    function sd_extra_edd_currencies( $currencies ) {
        $currencies['NGN'] = __('Nigerian Naira (₦)', 'sd-framework');
        return $currencies;
    }
    add_filter('edd_currencies', 'sd_extra_edd_currencies');
}
// Changes currency symbol for Nigerian Naira
if ( !function_exists( 'sd_change_edd_ngn_currency_symbol' ) ) {
    function sd_change_edd_ngn_currency_symbol( $output, $currency, $price ) {
        $output = '₦' . $price;
        return $output;
    }
    add_filter( 'edd_ngn_currency_filter_before', 'sd_change_edd_ngn_currency_symbol', 10, 3 );
}

This will add your currency to the list. Also, make sure that the payment gateway you want to use actually supports your currency too.

To add manual payments you:

1. Buy this extension from Easy Digital Downloads: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/manual-purchases/

or

2. You set your payment gateway to TEST mode, make a payment and then set the gateway back to your desired one.
