    I have tried disabling all other plugins and still when I try to choose a shortcode all I get popping up is a blank white window.

    Hi there,

    Just checked your website and it seems that the problem is from your server’s url rewriting settings or related to file permissions.

    When checking the console you’ll see this error:

    404 Not Found – http://sunoaks.com/wp-content/plugins/sd-shortcodes/inc/columns.php?width=600&height=400&random=1436445244245

    But the file exists. Try changing the permissions to the plugins folder or the sd-shortcodes folder located in the plugins folder. Or play with the permalink settings and see maybe from there’s the problem.

    I have tried adjusting the permalink settings and it doesn’t help the issue. Also, I have confirmed that permissions are the same for directories and files on all my other sites as they are on this site… any other ideas? Do you think I should try downloading another copy of the plugin and reinstalling it? If so, can you provide me with a download link?

    I found the problem. I am using the Succuri plugin that gives you an option to “harden” your wp-content directory, which puts a .htaccess file in the wp-content folder with this text inside:

    <Files *.php>
    deny from all
    </Files>

    When I removed this hardening it started working again. Sorry to waste your time.
