You’ll need to go to your WP install folder > wp-content > plugins > sd-fitness-post-type > inc and edit the file named “shortcode.php.

Now, on lines 79 and 206 you’ll see this code:

<?php echo substr(get_the_excerpt(), 0, 90) . ' ...'; ?>

and

<?php echo substr(get_the_excerpt(), 0, 200) . ' ...'; ?>

THe 90 and 200 are the number of characters to be displayed. Change it on both with your desired number.

Save. Done.

PS: On the trainers carousel there’s no text because there’s no content on the trainer’s page.

You can replace those lines entirely with this:

<?php the_excerpt(); ?>

Then you can adjust the numbering from WordPress.

Hey,

I’ve checked the plugin files and it seems that, unfortunately, the plugin author did not include excerpts in the custom post types.

But, fortunately, there’s a way to fix it :).

Here’s what to do:

Go to the theme’s folder and edit the file named “functions.php”. Now, add this code:

add_action('init', 'sd_post_types_init');

function sd_post_types_init() {
	add_post_type_support( 'wcs3_instructor', 'excerpt' );
        add_post_type_support( 'wcs3_class', 'excerpt' );
}

Save. Done.

Now you should see the option.
