Sorry but you can’t do this right out of the box. It’ll require some more advanced coding to achieve it.

But, you can do something else. The widgets displays the trainers based on the publishing date. You can change the publishing date of your desired trainers to be the most recent ones and the widget will display them first.

So, if you set 4 trainers first and set the limit to 4 it will display just your desired trainers.

You can edit the file named “shortcode.php” located in your WP install root folder > wp-content > plugins > sd-fitness-post-types > inc and on line 118, just after this:

'orderby' => 'date',

add this:

array(
    'taxonomy' => 'trainers_filter', // Taxonomy.
    'field' => 'slug',
    'terms' => array( 'john-doe', 'jane-doe' ), // Taxonomy term(s).
    'operator' => 'IN' //(string) - Operator to test. Possible values are 'IN', 'NOT IN', 'AND'.
),

Save. Done.

Note that I didn’t test the code but it should work. Let me know how’s going.
