    Hi for my website http://hongkong.itpanda.com.au/~spic

    I generate two sidebars: recent post and recent event, and assign them to the event page (http://hongkong.itpanda.com.au/~spic/events-page/8/) and post page (http://hongkong.itpanda.com.au/~spic/2015/12/21/duke/#more-938), but seems not working. at the same time, I assigned custom menu sidebar to page (http://hongkong.itpanda.com.au/~spic/course/), it is working.

    what’s the problem and how can I fix that?

    Hi there,

    Can you try and create a sidebar for example with the name test_sidebar and assign this to your desired pages and see if it’s working?

    Hi and sorry for the delay. I was out during the Christmas.

    By default the Events do not support custom sidebars. But you can make some changes as follows:

    Go to the theme’s folder > framework > inc > metabox and edit the file named “the-meta-boxes.php” and replace line 203, this:

    'pages' => array( 'page', 'post', 'professors', 'courses' ),

    with this:

    'pages' => array( 'page', 'post', 'professors', 'courses', 'events' ),

    Now, you should see the sidebar select on the events page.
