Hi there,

You’ll need to edit first the file named “trainers-page.php” located in the theme’s folder and on line 80 replace this:

<?php echo substr(get_the_excerpt(), 0, 55); ?>

with this:

<?php the_excerpt() ?>

Then add this snippet in your functions.php file:

function sd_trainers_excerpt() {
    add_post_type_support( 'wcs3_instructor', 'excerpt' );
}
add_action( 'init', 'sd_trainers_excerpt', 100 );

Once you made the changes make sure that in your WP editor on the top right > Screen Options the excerpt is checked and you’ll see an excerpt box below the editor.

Also, if you insert a longer excerpt you’ll need to adjust the size of the box too.

You can paste this in the theme options page > Styling > Custom CSS box:

.sd-trainer-content {
    height: 100px;
}

100px is the default height. You can play and adjust according to your needs.
