    Hi,
    I am trying to move my site to GoDaddy from another server. When i do the initial move everything looks fine however after a while the theme stops working, in particular the home page. My background color stops showing and the content in no longer aligned in the center.
    In addition to this my contact form also stopped sending out mail and only works when i change the short code from this: [contact-form-7 id="11" title="Contact form 1"] (which is the default that comes with the theme) to [contact-form-7 id="10" title="Contact form 1"]

    I have attached photos of what it looks like when do the initial copy and what it changes to after a while.

    Did the change occur on the new server right after you’ve move the site or suddenly after working on the new server for a while?

    It occurred after working on the server for a couple hours and not immediately after the move

    Hey,

    I’ve checked you site and it seems that there are some stray tags that are closing the content sections before needed. Make sure you check your content in html mode of the editor and remove any unwanted tags.

    Hey,

    Let me firstly say thank you for the help thus far. I addressed the tags issue and the site is now showing how it should.

    Just for my knowledge though; do you have any idea why it shows on the other server without the tags been closed but did not on this new server.

    Also mail is not being sent from the contact form however, the site’s mail functionality is working fine as i tested this.

    Could you also have a look at this form located on the contact us page and let me know if you see any possible cause for this problem

    Hi there,

    Sometimes the WordPress auto-formatting feature kicks in when it shouldn’t so it messes with your content. You can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ps-disable-auto-formatting/ It does wonders.

    As for the contact form sure I can take a look if you give me a test username & pwd. Make sure you use the private reply function of the forum.

    I would just like to inform you that the problem has been resolved.

    After enclosing the shortcodes used to create the form in p tags it started to work perfectly.
