Hi there,

The schedule plugin has them as instructors and the theme as trainers but they’re the same thing and not separate items. Sorry for the confusion.

The trainers and instructors are the same thing they’re not separate items. You cannot separate them because they’re not 2 distinct items.

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

No problem, here’s another way:

Go to your WP install folder > wp-content > plugins > sd-fitness-post-types > inc and replace the file named “shortcode.php” with the one from the attached archive.

Now, you need to add the trainers you want to display on the homepage with their own trainer filters and when you insert the shortcode into the page add the “cats” attribute and the trainer filter id.

Example:

[sd_trainers title="TRAINERS" cats="8"]

(If you go to your dashboard > Instructors > Instructors Filters and you edit an item from the right you’ll see something like this in the address bar:

your-site.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=trainers_filter&tag_ID=8

In this url 8 is the filter id.

I think you’ve added the categories incorrectly.

First, create a new filter (eg. hometrainers). Note that you need to insert the id of the filter and not the trainer. From the first screenshot the id is 29. Then, add the trainers you want to display on the home page to this filter. Finally, on the home page insert the shortcodes with the “cats” attribute.

That’s weird. Try to check the shortcode in the text mode of the editor and see if there is a space before and after it so it can be properly interpreted.
