I have a few questions about our events.
It seems as though we have two event plugins. One where I’ve imported our events from our previous site, which is through Modern Tribe. The other displays the theme events.

When I add the “Latest Blogs/Events” module from the visual composer to our homepage it pulls the events from the later, thus displaying the generic theme events.

In our news section (blog), I customized the page to include the upcoming events widget in the sidebar. This widget is pulling from the events in the Modern Tribe event plugin.

Furthermore, the “latest events” module in the visual composer doesn’t display anything. I’ve tried adding category id’s from both event plugins and it still does not display events.

    Could you help me out?

    Hi there,

I think your event plugin is using the same custom post type name (which is “events”) so, unfortunately, you’ll need to disable it if you want to use the theme’s events or use the event plugin but without any implementation from the theme’s events.

    Cheers!
    Chris
