    Trying to insert/update a youtube video in my Revolution Slider. When I enter the url or the ID alone, it says “Video Not found!” Thoughts?

    Also, the “insert button” just above the edit video area does absolutely nothing.

    In a search online says an update will resolve this, but mine is updated.

    I do hope I can resolve this today. It is rather urgent.

    4.6.0 but I tried to update within the plugin section and it says I have most recent version. What is the message on top about activation of Revolution, but is optional if come bundled with theme? How do I update it beyond 4.6.0?

    I wonder why a standard update available inside the plugin’s area. So I really don’t want to mess this up and loose the slides I’ve already created. How do I update manually? I’ve done some googling. Not very clear.

    1. You can simply login via FTP and upload the new revslider files. Don’t worry, your slides won’t be lost. The images are stored in a different place on your server and the data resides in the database so even if you delete the plugin your data will still be safe.

    2. How did you insert those 2 videos into the page?

    If I use Insert Media.. It is super large with no apparent way to reduce the size. If I use shortcode, same. If I paste the link using both just paste and [youtube= standard wordpress code, the video is “an error occurred..” I’ve tried everything. What is the default, preferred way to add a video to a post using this theme?

    Still dealing with RevSlider update. I really don’t know how to update it manually. I read you suggestion on FTp transfer of files. I am not comfortable with that. Could you please answer these questions:
    Why can’t I simply update the plugin as we can with all plugins?
    Why isn’t the newest one available for this theme?
    Can you describe exactly which folders are safe to overwrite?
    There are far more folders in the original revSlider online than in the update download. Do I copy over the existing ones? All of these (see screenshot)?
    Can I delete the entire folder and add the new one? Tried that already. Didn’t work.
    Will my HARD WORK be safe?

    You can’t update the plugin like any other because this is a premium paid plugin and requires a paid license so it is not a freely available plugin.

    The link that I’ve shared above is for the latest version of the plugin.

    Yes, you can overwrite any of the files your data is safe.

    If you want you can give me a test username and password on your site and I can update it for you. Just make sure you use the private reply function of the forum.

    Every time there is an update for the slider I’ll release an update for the theme with the latest version of the slider.
