    Hi there – I tried to activate my Visual Composer account so that I could access templates, but I received the following message, numerous times over numerous hours:

    Server error
    Looks like envato api is experiencing technical problems. Our support portal relies on envato and your request can not proceed at the moment. Please try again later. Error: “Could not save user locally”.

    Can you advise?

    Hi there,

    Visual Composer doesn’t need to be activated because it came bundled with the theme. But, if you want direct support from the plugin’s author and automatic updates you’ll need to buy your own license for VC. The same goes for their premium templates. That is premium content that it is only available for users that have their own license (not available on the plugin when is bundled with a theme).

    Is this the same for Revolution Slider? I would like to use a Vimeo Gallery but cannot add the template, even though it’s free.

    @nronnei    : Yes, that is available for RevSlider too. I’m sorry about that but although the templates are free they’re available for users how have their own license. With my license I’m only allowed to offer you the plugin for free.
