    Love this theme! Thanks so much!

    I’m having a couple issues:

    1. The featured images on both blog posts and events are pixelated on tablet view and mobile landscape view. I’ve tried increasing the dimensions of my media settings (thumbnails, medium and large) and then tried regenerating thumbnails, but that didn’t seem to work. I’ve added some additional responsive media queries for other elements, but I can’t determine whether or not this can be fixed with css. If it can, would it be the container, the wrapper? The resized pixelated images start about 780px browser width. Also, the post thumbnails in the sidebar (recent posts and popular posts) look pixelated on all devices.

    2. I’ve tried creating a gallery blog post, but the gallery doesn’t show up anywhere on the front-end. See attached screenshots.

    Hi there,

    1. The optimal size for the images for the featured image is 770×400. Though, I’ve checked your site on my iphone and ipad but the images look fine on my side. Do you still encounter the problem?

    2. Do you want to use the gallery post format of the blog post or a normal WordPress gallery shortcode?

    Hello,

    1. Yes, and my images are much larger than those dimensions. I’m at 1970×1311. And actually, now that I’m looking at it closer, the images are pixelated on both mobile views (portrait and landscape). I’ve included screenshots and labeled them so you will know which device and orientation each one is.

    2. I’m trying to use the gallery post format of the blog post.

    That is weird. I still cannot replicate the problem. Do you have the possibility to test on a different device and see how’s going?

    What version of the theme do you have installed?

    After 1.3 version the old post types plugin was replaced with an in-built functionality and the bundled plugin (CF Post Formats) became redundant.

    I currently have version 1.3.4 installed, which is the only version I’ve had of the theme. I don’t see CF Post Formats in the framework > plugins folder.

    Then simply select “Gallery” from the right side of the editor and then under the editor there is a box named “Gallery Options” from where you can upload your desired gallery images.

    Hey there,

    Ok, I’ve updated the theme and plugins to the latest versions. Cleared my cache, but I seem to still be having the same Gallery Blog Post issue. Additionally, I can see from the front-end that quite a bit of my styling has been overwritten with the update, even though it’s all still correct in the back-end.

    Examples: My top bar background color went back to the demo color #29af8a (as well as many other elements that were originally this color), but it’s still showing the correct colors in the back-end styling section. I used CSS to change the color, font-family and font-weight of a lot of fonts that are now back to the demo settings, but my custom CSS is still in my stylesheet.

    I followed your update instructions very carefully. I went to Appearance > Themes and activated a different theme. Then I deleted Helping Hands parent theme, and I also deactivated/deleted Ultimate Addons for VC, Visual Composer, and Slider Revolution. I then went back to themes and uploaded the latest version of the parent theme. Then I went back to plugins and uploaded all three plugins from the HelpingHands > framework > plugins folder.

    I also just now tried updating the sd-theme-functions-helping-hands plugin (by deactivating/deleting the old version, then uploading the new version), but that didn’t make a difference.

    It seems like it may be a file permissions issue? I just checked and it seems like most (if not all) files are currently set to 664. If it is a file permissions issue, what should they be set to? And which files specifically need to be changed? Just want to point out: I use WP Engine, and I know they consider 755 to be too vulnerable. If I try changing a file to those permissions, WP Engine will automatically kick it back down to a lower permission (I believe to 577, but I’m not sure on that).

    Not too sure where to go from here. Let me know what the next step is when you get a chance.

    Try to make a small color change, for example, in the theme options page > Styling and hit “Save changes” to check if the file is being populated.

    Also, if the gallery is still not working can you post a test username & pwd. on your site so I can take a closer look? Make sure you use the private reply function of the forum.
