    Hey guys,

    The problem is from your server’s permissions settings. The theme is not able to write its settings in the file on your server.

    I will need FTP access to the theme’s folder so I can check out and see what stops the compiler to work properly.

    You can post your credentials here but make sure you use the private reply function of the forum.


    @alcafglobal    : Robbie, you can change the colors of your menu from your dashboard > Mega Menu > Menu themes.


    @slushstudio    : Your theme is up to date (1.1.2). You are shown 1.0 because you’re using a child theme which actually is version 1.0.

    @slushstudio: I’ve checked your site and it seems that although the permissions of the file are correct the owner of the file is the ftp username and not the WordPress one.

    Also noted that in your wp-config.php file the FS_METHOD code is invalid due to wrong quotes.

    Remove that line and add it again with the correct quotes:

    define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');

    Hi Chris,

    problem solved, you were right about the owner of the file being the ftp username and not the WordPress one. I CHMOD the css file with the WordPress one and it’s working fine, even without the FS METHOD.

    Phew, that was tough. Managed to login. Now please go to the theme options page > Styling and make some changes and then hit save. Doesn’t matter if you did any changes before make new ones and hit save.

    Hi. I am experiencing similar issues here. Site is hosted on Siteground.

    1. The permissions on the custom-styles.css were 644, I changed them to 755.
    2. Went to HelpingHands theme options -> style. Made any change and clicked “Save Changes”
    3. Permissions on the custom-styles.css reset to 644!

    The owner on all the files is the cpanel login. I’ve also added the FS_METHOD directive.

    Please assist.
