    Following up on this post and Skat’s comment:

    “You’ll need to enable the excerpt field from the upper right corner > “Screen Options”. Then insert the excerpt using your desired html tags inside.”

    As you mention above, the “excerpt field” is not available as an option through the WP admin for either “Instructors” or “Classes” like it exists for a standard “Post”. Where and how do I add this into the theme? In a functions.php file? Sorry, but having words cut off “mid-word” is just not acceptable in any text box, especially on the homepage, so I really need an appropriate solution to fix this.
