Those strings are to be changed directly in the theme options page. Check the “Events”, “Blog” and “Courses” tabs.

I’m afraid custom headers on category pages is not available right out of the box. Cats are a little bit different then pages/posts and it needs some additional coding to make it work.

Though, if you want to display one image for all categories here’s what to do:

Go to the theme’s folder > framework > inc and edit the file named “page-top.php”. Now, on line 21 replace this:

class="sd-page-top clearfix"

with this:

class="sd-page-top clearfix <?php if ( is_category() ) echo 'sd-cat-bg'; ?>"

Save. Done.

Now go to the theme options page > Styling and in the “Custom CSS” box add this:

.sd-cat-bg {
    background: url(https://your-image-url-here) no-repeat 0 0;
}

Save. Done.

That’s correct, but make sure that you follow the structure of the parent’s directories in the child folder also.

“page-top.php” is located in the theme’s folder > framework > inc so the file must have the same structure in the child theme.

Eg.

child-theme > framework > inc

Hmm, that’s weird. Can you try and edit it direct in the parent theme files and see if it’s working this way?

Are you sure you’ve let the modified file? Because I can see only the default one.

Also, if you can give me a FTP username & pwd. with access in the theme’s folder I can fix this for you.
